...Nora devoted many of her earlier years to being a wife and mother of two sons while successfully pursuing a career in computer (Unix) support. Her artistic desires were fullfilled some time later.
Nora took a painting class for the first time in 2001 (taught by Ms. Yolanda Prinsloo, a well known South African artist), and was completely and forever fascinated and engaged. She has been painting ever since.
Nora is basically a self-taught artist, having taken very few art classes. She admires, among others, the works of Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, Degas, Renoir, and Dali.
Nora works in oil, and uses color to create striking views, be it figurative painting or abstracts and surreal views, along her journey into self-discovery and self-expression.
She aims to continue exploring her creativity by producing more audacious designs that assault the senses and create emotions. Painting is a means of expression for Nora—for her own pleasure and to communicate with others.
